Yes, characters can have more than one affliction, BUT YOU CANNOT CHOSE MORE THAN ONE MEMBER GROUP. If they could fit under suicidal or insane, PUT THEM IN WHATEVER'S WORSE. (Though all addicts go into 'addict' unless they've gotten over it inside of Markham).
* violence ,Pretty much self-explanatory. If the patient has been committed because they've shown violent tendencies, they'll be classified as a violent patient.
* insanity ,Generally, if the patient suffers from uncontrollable and unexplained hallucinations, has a split personality (or several) or just generally thinks they have connection to the spirit world, or that they are the anti-christ, ect.
* addiction ,Yet again, an obvious group. If the character has an alcohol, drug, or other addiction, they're an addict.
* disorder ,Eating disorders, or similar afflictions, as well as things such as clinical depression (but not suicidal or self-harming), extreme OCD, that sort of thing. Bipolar is also a disorder, if they aren't violent about it.
* suicidal ,Those that cause frequent self-harm, even if they haven't verbally threatened suicide, are deemed suicidal.
* phobia ,Seriously debilitating phobias only. A fear of spiders is common, and people aren't committed for that. It's mainly the fear of people, physical contact, ceilings... things that would affect them more than just a little.
