Emily is an odd little girl that is sometimes hard to understand. When it comes down to it, she doesn't make friends easily, especially since she tends to prefer being quiet than chatty. So most of the friends she does make, are close friends and are very few. 'Course, since she is rather truthful, she will happily tell anyone that she doesn't like them and even go into why if they ask. Not wanting to lie, just about anyone could ask her a question and she will either tell the truth or tell them to piss off. Because of her emotional behavior, she tends to draw herself away from people believing she is no longer good enough to be around anyone, even those she likes. Getting her out of these moods is never an easy task, but getting her into them can be quite easy. So any enemy she makes, normally is able to pull upon her heart strings and send her spiraling into a deep depression. As for the lighter side of life, Emily can fall in love with anyone as she tends to go for personality rather than what someone is be they man, woman, or something in between. At this moment in time, she has had no relationships as she normally pulled away in the past from those that liked her a bit too much. Now in this wonderful Hell, Emily is wondering if she shouldn't try to find someone. Being in the asylum since she was seventeen, she is truly worried she may not find anyone for her.
Now it is time to plot with Em and she is quite open for anything!

I was thinking that these two should get a bit acquainted. They are both at the same level which means that if there is ever a "group therapy" session, Edgar and Emily would both be there. Edgar still wants to die and has been trying to find things to make blades out of. Perhaps he could share what he's making with her or something you know? Besides that, Edgar has a tendency to make female friends since he finds most males revolting by nature since most are pervs, have a testosterone disorder, or are just nasty. So I was thinking Edgar might make an attempt to talk to the only other quiet person in the asylum, who looks almost normal to him.

Or perhaps he can stumble into the wrong washroom while she's writing in her journal. Decisions decisions....

Ooo! I would love for them to become friends!! I can honestly already see Em pretty much clinging to him since he doesn't like perverts either. For the whole knife thing, she may take him up on the offer or at the very least be willing to help him conceal his contraband if he needs it. And I would simply love it if he wandered into the washroom by accident. Would prove to be interesting. xD

I think that Olivia would actually feel quite indifferent about Emily. She will not feel threatened by her or envious or angry. If anything, Olivia may be quite annoyed with her constant depression, for it keeps interferring with her own bi-polar depression. From time to time, Olivia may say something smart and rude to her, but really means no harm. When annoyed or depressed, she tends to get really angry, and to avoid hurting anyone, she will impulsively say something meant to hurt feelings.

They might actually get along, depending. Since you mention she's a quiet person, and Conrad is also, it could be one of those friendships where most of the time is spent in a comfortable silence, no awkward moments involved xD He wouldn't understand her desire to die, wouldn't try to either, he'd probably just accept it for what it was and shrug it off.

Well, I don't think Em would give Olivia much more than a second glance and for the comments, she would probably not even care. Might even dare to laugh at the rude comments, thinking them no more than a joke. So beyond all of that, she probably wouldn't have any real desire to interact with Olivia.

Conrad & Emily

I think Emily would actually enjoy Conrad and probably want him to talk more, especially if he has an accent (she loves them, and if he has one, he could talk about anything.) Because Con is gay, she probably won't look at him in any sexual way, mostly to respect his personal space, but she would probably enjoy having him as a friend and may invade his boundaries depending on her mood. (But clearly not doing anything sexual, just invading when she needs someone to cuddle with, if Con is fine with that on the rare occasions it occurs.)

Nell would at first most likely be intimidated by Em because of her straightforward personality. But Nell is forever curious, and will probably stick with er to see what's up. Even if Emily falls into a mood, Nell would be by her side saying she's okay. Whether Emily would be annoyed or not by that, you decide. =3 But Nell often takes it upon herself to help other people.

If Emily is willing, Nell could be a good friend.

Aw, that actually sounds quite wonderful! Having a woman friend in the asylum would help Em a lot (especially one as helpful and caring as Nell) so I think they would be great friends! And Em may get annoyed from her kind ways at times, but mostly because she can be weird in her moods.

Honestly, if she'd be able to tolerate his loud mouth, and his urge to pick pocket everyone he lays eyes on, these two might get along. He'd probably see her having potential to get out, whereas he thinks he'll be stuck in the Asylum forever. He's also the type to probably get angry with love if they were friends. Like... If he saw her cutting herself, caught her in an attempt at suicide, or even talking about doing it, he'd mostly likely have a fit and start yelling about it's stupidity. He truly doesn't understand it's concept since he feels that he should live forever. His entitled English attitude pretty much forbids him from committing suicide. Thoughts?

Ooo. I think she may actually like someone to tell her that shit is stupid to do. Probably keep her on the right path, for the most part. Though she probably won't mind his loud mouth as long as nothing profane comes out of it (when not telling her suicide stuff is stupid). So I believe they should get alone wonderfully! Though I can't fully say for sure until they get together in a thread.
