i've got nostalgic pavement, and i've got familiar faces
i've got mixed up memories, and i've got favorite places.

❝I created Coreen a while ago, but I've suddenly gotten muse for her. Enter Coreen, an Irish immigrant who moved to the states with her children after her abusive husband was arrested. She's trying her best to adjust to life in America, but she hasn't had much success in assimilating. A fish out of water, you could say.

In general, she is an outgoing and optimistic woman with a childish side that indulges in board games. She loves her children more than anything, and tries her best to help out her students.

For Coreen, friends would come pretty easily. Though they'd mostly be workers, she likes to know her students better. An inter-generational friendship is quite possible, as she's not the worse worker in Markham and she actually cares about the patients. A lot. Even though she really needs the job, she'd probably be more-than-willing to put it on the line for a student.

She is humorous and fun-loving, and a very trustworthy person, so friends = yes.


I don't imagine many enemies for Coreen, or at least people actively hating her.  But of course there are the patients who dislike the staff (which means everyone). So instant dislike is pretty much the standard for most patients. xD

As for other things not to like about her, she's a huge klutz. And ditzy (but not stupid). Her air-head tendencies can be a turn-off.

We discussed this very briefly in the chat--but anyway, I think these two would get along quite well. Guards aren't generally allowed in the classrooms, it supposedly disrupts the learning environment xD There'd probably be something along the lines of a 'panic' button for the teachers if one of the patients started flipping their shit, but other than that, it's generally guard-free and what not, so she likely wouldn't get to see his violent side at all unless outside of the classroom environment xD Unless someone tried to assault him with a pencil (that mental image had me rolling, no joke).

That, and he's probably one of the few people that actually listens... bahaha. -shoves Josh- You bookworm, you xD And he gets along with most of the professors provided they aren't assholes (which she isn't) so I think that they'd be quite friendly outside of the classroom and whatever.

Forgive me if that made no sense, I just woke up xD

Probably wouldn't know one another from school--Conrad doesn't attend. But hey, they're both British (though he's from England and she's Irish, but STILL) so they might get along for that reason... I don't even know xD What do you think?

Ahem. I don't think these two would get along at all. Rin is so bitchy, violent, and cruel to the patients that I just... don't see them clicking xD She probably wouldn't like Dom, either, to top it off. She'd be really condescending and sneer a lot in Coreen's presence, because... well, this is Rin. xD

These two could work out well. Since Josh is all "lol imma dork" she'd be willing to help him in any way to get out of there and go to college~ Since she's a dork, too, and education is one of the most important things to her. Jeez, just pictured him with bushy hair and breasts LOL MASCULINE HERMIONE GRANGER!. And she'd really appreciate that. He would probably be one of her favorite students for that fact.

I honestly don't know how Cor would react to Josh's violent side. Probably be like, "Now, now, violence is unnecessary! Read a book instead! ". That would be amusing, actually.

If you wanna thread, could you be like the most awesomesauce spectacular Canadian in all of Canadia and start?? I'll give you some Irish potatoes.

UK buddies~ xD Ireland and England are actually pretty similar, but usually the Irish don't like the English as a whole (Coreen probably rants when drunk about the state of Ireland's government xD). One-on-one, though, the two could get along, and talking about British things. TROLOLO~

That would certainly be interesting. But Coreen would probably be caught off guard dealing with an actually insane patient.

INSTANT DISLIKE. lol. Actually, maybe they could have a drink together or something and get to know each other. Or have a drinking contest, since they both hold their liquor like champs; that would be like insta-respect for Cor. They could talk about their redheaded-ness and Irish-ness. Now that I think of it, maybe their personalities can off-set each other in an opposites attract sort of way....?

Maybe a thread would be the best way to figure it out. xD (Yeah, I re-stalked Rin's bio).

Jayden and Coreen might see each other once in a while, he's fairly dedicated to his job of being a security guard but he does enjoy peeking his head into open rooms to watch how others are learning despite his tough exterior. Maybe they could be friends eventually?

Elizabeth & Coreen

Friends, at least I could see it. Elizabeth can pretty much get along with anyone, she cares a lot about the patients and would probably be frustrated at injuries that makes no sense to her. I could see them talking about the patients once in a while.

Constance & Coreen

Connie was a student in college before her accident, but I could see her stopping in once in a while to see if Coreen would be able to teach her anything, mainly because she adores reading and would want to see if she can find a way to remember anything while relearning certain material. She wouldn't entirely open up to the woman, though, because of the rumors about the asylum staff.

These two could very possibly get along, since Cor is friendly with everyone. And she'd let Jay sit in on her lessons. I can picture a very easygoing relationship with these two.

They could be friends too. Not sure on how they'd meet. Maybe Coreen goes to the medical wing to give a student of hers some work....? xD But yeah, they would certainly get along since Cor is very friendly, too.

constance & coreen
Perhaps Cor can tutor Constance? That sounds like a good idea. Cor would absolutely love that Constance is furthering her education, and she might pry a little until she realized Constance is uncomfortable with it. Then she'd just support her by helping her out by suggesting books to read and the such.

Lyra Teller ~
She's a violent seventeen year old that was raped by her father and his friends and murdered them after that did that to her. Lyra knows that she's twisted since she loves to hurt people and use them sometimes. But, she has her normal moments though they are always rare. Maybe since she's a little violent, she could be rebellious in the classroom?

Heart Poe ~
Heart's a Nurse that's been at Markham for about two years and has a gentle and caring heart, fitting her name. She's always welcoming and friendly. Also is secretly having a fling with a personal guard(i need to put up a char request for him). Maybe the two redheads could be friends? Or what so you think?

Coreen would probably view Lyra as one of those problem children she loves to fix. She'd most likely take extra interest in her because she knows that acting out means problems at home and the such. So yeah, she'd keep an eye on Lyra to make sure she's doing all right.

heart & coreen
These two can be redheaded buddies. xD I can see them hanging out with each other and being easygoing friends. Since Heart's been working at Markham for a while, maybe she can show Cor the ropes, since she's relatively new? That would be an interesting relationship.
