For many years, there has been a "special" breed of human. Not mutants--but gifted. Society either has embraced us, or discriminated against our kind. Since 1802 when the first breeds of the Gifted started appearing, a school on a shunned island in the Pacific has been welcoming to this kind. Ashburn Island Academy.
It was a haven for a while, until an extremely powerful student was released into society. He turns the Humans against the Gifted, he slaughters those in his path.
Why should Humans get the glory and sunshine of life when they are nothing?
Hundreds have sided with what he calls The Novus in retaliation against Humans and the Gifted who do not see in their ways. A war is brewing that will split a world apart.
