I'M NO JESUS
but neither are you, my friend Friends. He doesn't have many of them. Josh never did well with people when he was younger, so he became independent and distanced himself from others. He'll have a small circle of friends he's incredibly close to, however. If you're patient enough to deal with his... issues... he'll be grateful for a friend to talk to, and reward you with his loyalty.
He's going to have a ton of enemies. He's not exactly an easy guy to get along with, and his risk level means a lot of people are afraid of him. He tends to be vain and stubborn, so he definitely grates on the nerves of some of his fellow patients. And aside from that, he's just a plain jerk a lot of the time.
He's not opposed to the occasional make out session in the bathroom stalls - he is a male, ladies, they have their questionable thoughts. But he's not interested in the commitment it takes for a relationship. Never has been. He was always geared toward education, even before getting admitted to Markham. So... one-night stands, friends with benefits, that's all fine, but for now he's not interested in serious dating.
He has a bit of a crush now. I think he'll tone down the romancing while that sorts itself out.
He doesn't have any family in the asylum, so they can't be played. But be creative! I love plotting (:
Lastly, we should note that whilst he does have a serious anger problem and tends to solve his serious problems by decking someone in the face, he is quite sane. And being sane, he's very aware of his sanity, and absolutely off-put by the fact that he's shut up in a nuthouse with a bunch of people who are clearly off their rockers. He's pretty much hell-bent and sure that he'll be able to get himself out of Markham in the near future, and he will tell you this without shame. He also brags about his intelligence on occasion >.>

Hellooooo ;3 I decided to take the initiative!
I can see them being friends, Vera is a fantastic listener and can take a lot before she snaps since she's so delusional about herself. She'd be willing to tough it out with him to get him to talk, as long as she doesn't have to talk about herself.
I could also see them being friends with benefits if that's an interesting route you'd like to take. Obviously Vera doesn't care much for a commitment with a man right now anyway, she's better around guys her own age than she is older men but if you have any other ideas or want to change anything that's fine =3

He'd be very, very guarded around her at first xD He can't stand most of the patients classified under insanity, because he's actually quite sane himself, and it gives him the creeps. But I imagine if she showed that she could be normal a lot of the time, he'd shrug it off after a while and chat lightly with her. I don't think he'd allow her into his inner circle (that would all depend on how things go, it's hard for me to tell right away xD) because of her... issues (; but he definitely wouldn't completely ignore her.
He used to care about age limits and such, but he gave up on asking after a while xD They don't let you have a relationship with anyone even if it's a legal one, so he figures 'What the hell, who gives a shit?' Fifteen and under he wouldn't go for, so she literally just snakes by his limit xD
So yeah, that would work for me. Shall we thread?

I can see these two being enemies, perhaps? First of all, Kelsie can't stand egosistical people, as you already know, and that's only strike one. Second of all, since Josh is an intellectual person, I'm sure he wouldn't like the fact that she's based 93% on emotion and 7% on logic. Also, he may not like how loud and childish she can act, despite the fact she's not suppsed to be causing trouble on her internship. And vice versa, she wouldn't like how emotionless he appeared. Third, she is an intern... and I'm assuming he doesn't like anyone who works at the asylum very much, since his greatest fear is never escaping there. Anywho, that's already three strikes between them! Maybe we could stir up a little, rough plot with them? :D

They definitely would not get along xD His own therapist (who I have under character requests xD) is generally the only one he can stand, and that's only because she's one of the few that believes he isn't nuts, haha!
If he found out she was an intern because she wasn't book-smart, he'd hold his own intelligence over her head. Brag about all the degrees he plans to get, the schools he would have went to, the whole nine yards xD
This should be fun >:D

This sounds awsome
They'll be perfect enemies really because of their opposite personalities. She will get so mad if he insults her intelligance and then begins to brag about her own, seriously. I can picture it now. But how would they meet, and why would Kelsie stand there and take whatever Josh had to dish out, or vice versa? Maybe because that specific day, his therapist was in charge of Kelsie and assigned her to take a session with him? Only a short session, as I doubt a professional therapist would give an intern very long -- just long enough to give the intern some experiance to talk to patients alone. They'll be forced to stay in the room together, so hah! What do you think?

Joshua & EmilySo, since we are threading, I thought I would put up some of my thoughts and ideas for their relationship! First of all, I think Emily will be fasinated by Josh just because of the way he thinks and his intellect, so she will certainly try and go out of her way to talk to him if she can or simply listen to his ramblings. I can also picture her willing to help him out with anything if he needs it. Though I do not think Em would fully consider him a friend (or anything more) just because she finds him to be more of a mystery and is focused on solving his puzzle rather than trying to befriend him. Which brings me to the point that you shouldn't be surprised if she ends up watching him from a distance and pretty much taking her personal notes on his interactions with others. Though I believe her main goal would be to actually try and get Josh out of the asylum, believing his potential is being wasted locked up within this establishment. In other words, she may start planning a way to break him out if she needs to. Thoughts?

He's going to have a semi-stalker? Ooh, fun xD He'd probably be blind to it at first, there are a lot of people in the asylum, but I'm sure he'd notice after a while that she always seemed to be around, and he'd question her about it (nicely enough, I'd assume, as he doesn't have any real problems with her yet).
I know what you mean about the friend thing - he doesn't really have many friends, so that makes sense both ways. He just likes talking to people who aren't as nutty as most, and he doesn't see her as insane, just a little foolish for trying to off herself xD So yes, I suppose this works for me (:
LOL & breaking people out ftw? xD

Josh & EnviInstantly I believe Envi would not like Josh all too much because of his jerkiness and probably will be one of the few people that would stand up against Josh if he were a jerk to someone around Envi. It would probably because of his hatred for Josh that the Dragon Lady actually ended up slowly plotting a way to kill the one girl he believed he could help until she 'committed suicide'. So I see a rivalry between the two and probably fear for any woman Josh gets close to that is a level two, for sure. Beyond that, the Dragon Lady is probably waiting for the right moment to plot Josh's own death which can involve nearly anything!
OH! And actually, Envi could be the one that gets Josh the lighter in order for the whole Damon thing to go down. -evil cackle!-
