To really know Derek, you have to really understand clinical depression and the way it works on his personality day by day. Normally, Derek loves to play acoustic guitar and read comic books. He loves the outdoors and rain—he’s an all-around good guy. He likes greasy pizza and soda, video games and sports. Depression really takes it out of him though, leaving him drained and irritable. That’s just not who Derek really is at all.
Derek is patient and he’s a good listener, not to mention his wicked sense of humor. But on the negative side, Derek has some issues with child-like thought patterns and forgetfulness. It’s difficult for him to find the energy to get out of bed or even remember what he had for breakfast. He’s much better with pictures since depression took over his life. [/color][/font]

Olivia && DerekI think there should be a bit of child-like comedy for the two of them. For instance, Olivia may have been annoyed with the depression, for seeing Derek depressed makes Olivia feel just as low with her own bi-polar depression. So, as a way to get Derek to be social with her and cheer up, Olivia may visit him when he is feeling upset, bringing with her her crayons and colored pencils so that they could hang out and act like kids together just for the hell of it.

CONRAD&&DEREK?!Hmm - I'm not entirely sure about these two, I think it would all depend on how they met. As Derek is pretty flippant and uncaring at the moment (and Conrad is like that all the time) I doubt they'd find much to clash about. And if Conrad wasn't an addict, he'd also be level one, so he's not too dangerous or anything. Perhaps they could be casual acquaintances of sorts? xD I wish I had something better to offer you, like an epic plot or something, but my brain is drawing a complete blank.

joshua & derek ,Not too sure about these two - it depends on Dereks view of Josh & vice versa at the end of our thread, perhaps? Josh has little to no opinion on Derek right now, he tends to give people a chance, he's large on first impressions, and if he doesn't like you then, well, it usually goes downhill from there xD So yes - how do you think they might get along? Perhaps you've got more of an opinion?
